Inspiring..

Quite literally, you've got a great style going there.
I'm going to tear myself off steam and draw another bleeding few pieces for NG.
Not many bits of art make me want to do that haha. I'll be keeping an eye on your submissions, if you don't mind :)
Btw, ever thought of doing a screencap of a painting? I'm sure it'll help a lot of us on here to watch it.

I have! Once I figure out some good recording software to use I would like to do a few timelapse videos.

In the meantime I posted a few process shots that you can view at your leisure: http://blog.gabrielverdon.com/?p=229

Thanks for the kind words.

it's looking at me..

..all like "yeah, I'm wearing jeans, and what?"
You should extend the cast, hiphop rabbit or something. Shame about the spartan bg though.

Nomnomsprites

Very nice bit of pixel art, reminds me of when I used to do them for RPGmaker. Is this in aid of a project?

Sort of, I might start making a game in the next few weeks. But if I don't I'm just going to be animating this character for practice.

Purty :3

10's are thrown around like cookies and babies on this site, but I think this one actually deserves one. Simply because of the colour scheme. Purple > Orange, been trying to work that into a picture for ages now, and here you've gone and done it. Good job on the lighting as well, only having one light source can make a picture look a bit flat and lifeless. Kudos!

I like it

Good design, colouring and proportions. The sword is ace as well. Looks kinda flat just standing face on though, try a 3/4 action pic next time. Dark Elf slicing monsters up into little sushi pieces would be very nice :P

mmm, tasty vectors

Aww look, the yuyu want to give bitey a nice hug ^_^
Awesome vector art man, could never get the hang of it myself.
Is the camera supposed to be rotating around bitey or something? because that's what it looks like.

grrrrrrACK

said the beast as it was pulled out of the cave by its testicles. haha that's so how dragon slaying goes.
you can almost hear the low, gutteral growl of the whatever-is-in-the-cave and
the whistling wind whipping up and around the rocks.
What you said about the lighting though, can see what you mean. Maybe setting the pic in the twilight hours so the glowing orange eyes cast a faint glow on the cave mouth and the intrepid man and dog. Dramatic lighting an all.
LOVE your style, what do you do the pics in? photoshop? Been hankering after tips and tricks of drawing landscapes for aages. Must say though, you're probs one of the bet artist i've seen on this site so far.

i LIKE this

haha. no really, it's awesome. It has what a lot of artwork lacks: Character.
I've always found that listening to music is the best way to get inspiration for a drawing. good job.

nice

I can just see him in the middle of the city, dicing riot police into bite-size chunks :D
love the pose dude, keep it up!

PATAPATA
